Bodywork intended to address your symptom’s root-cause
& restore ease to the whole person: body and nervous system
Applied Somatic Therapy
3530 BEE CAVES RD, WEST LAKE HILLS, TX 78746
Bodywork with intention to awaken awareness and reconnection to self-body, with the objective for healing to continue outside of the treatment room.
Instead of endless repeated sessions providing temporary relief, let’s find and address the root cause of the issue…together!
I would love to help you get to a state where you can continue your healing on your own.
– Adelyn Botto, founder of Applied Somatic Therapy
Meet Adelyn
With over 30 years as a licensed therapist, Adelyn Botto, LMT, RCST®, blends expertise in MyoFascial Release, Structural Bodywork, and Craniosacral Therapy to address the root causes of pain and dysfunction. Through a somatic approach to bodywork, she helps clients develop body awareness and understand how their systems have adapted to stress, injury, or trauma.

It’s hard to believe how effective this (Craniosacral) therapy is at relieving pain and, more surprisingly, emotional stress.
-Janis M
Adelyn is highly experienced and knows the body like no other. She can locate the source of aches and pains when I cannot identify it myself.

Somatic Bodywork Modalities
Addressing symptoms often requires the use of multiple disciplines in a way that makes sense for your challenges. Craniosacral Therapy and manual bodywork such as MyoFascial Release are effective as stand-alone therapies for specific issues, or in tandem to take healing to the next level.
Applied Somatic Therapy may include:
MyoFascial Release
Techniques that release restrictions in your body’s fascial network – the connective tissue that surrounds muscles, bones, and organs.
Integrative Resources
Customized adjustments and techniques taught to reduce or prevent further injury, repattern how your brain creates subconscious adaptations that inhibit your progress, and continue your healing on your own. This is interwoven into your session and is not a stand-alone service.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
A gentle, light-touch approach that helps your nervous system regulate and reset. It can also integrate progress when paired with manual bodywork, by helping the brain repattern physical issues and pain messages.
Structural Assessment/Body Reading
An important aspect of AST manual bodywork, structural assessment / body reading is useful for a more targeted session, and to gauge one’s progress. This is interwoven into your session and is not a stand-alone service.
Commonly addressed conditions
Clients often report improvements in a wide variety of conditions including:
- Anxiety
- Chronic pain
- Headache including migraines
- Mobility problems
- Limited “Range-of-motion”, e.g. “frozen shoulder”
- Muscle weakness
- Nervous system dysregulation
- Repetitive stress/chronic posture injuries
- TMJ issues
Have you ever hurt your back doing something simple?
Sometimes we end up with injuries in ways that just don’t make sense, like hurting your back or shoulder just by reaching to open a cabinet or picking up groceries.
These types of injuries are common but not usually a direct result of the activity that seemed to trigger them. It’s what we do on a daily basis that sets us up for injury.
You don’t have to live with this pain or fear of injury. Set up a call and learn more about what Applied Somatic Therapy can do for you.
Testimonials
Before I began seeing Adelyn Botto more than five years ago, I thought of massage as only a relaxing indulgence — and it can be. But seeing Adelyn taught me that deep tissue massage can be exactly what I need to recover from injury, truly relax, and relieve pain. Adelyn is highly experienced and knows the body like no other. She can locate the source of aches and pains when I cannot identify it myself. I highly recommend her MyoFascial Release for breaking through knotted tissue to relieve muscle pain. It has been a game changer for me. Her work has helped improve my posture and ease of movement. She has a warm, healing presence, and I always look forward to our sessions. Highly recommend!

I first discovered Craniosacral Therapy when I started seeing Adelyn Botto for massage to relieve muscle aches. At the end of those 60- or 90-minute sessions, Adelyn would apply the lightest of touches to the top of my head and to the base of my skull to calm the nervous system after more intense body work. It’s hard to believe how effective this therapy is at relieving pain and, more surprisingly, emotional stress. When I lost my son in a tragic accident several years ago, I sought out Adelyn to help me through that pain — and it was the craniosacral work that helped me the most. I cannot thank her enough.
